Founded in 1956. The branch of the GOU is a modern educational and laboratory and research and production complex. About 3000 students study here. On the square in front of the building there is a large amount of milk in cultural forms - gas taps, drilling rigs and so on. The building itself is very beautiful - faced with polished granite. More than 60 years ago, in the young, growing city of Oktyabrsky, on the initiative of the Bashneft association, the city authorities and in accordance with the order of the USSR Minister of Higher and Secondary Education, an evening department of the Ufa Oil Institute was opened. The history of the Oktyabrsky branch of USPTU is inextricably linked with the discovery and development of the unique Tuimazinskoye field of Devonian oil, which served as a powerful impetus to the socio-economic development of Bashkortostan and the entire Volga-Ural region. - The intensive development of the oil and gas industry in the west of Bashkortostan and the south-east of Tatarstan required a huge number of highly qualified engineers. The need for on-the-job training was the reason for the creation in 1956 of the evening department of the Ufa Oil Institute, which was later transformed into a branch of USPTU.
