In the depths of the square, if you go from st. Pushkin to st. Astronomical, there is a monument in memory of the communist repressions, with the inscription "FORGIVE" in 4 languages ​​- English-Arab-Hebrew-Rus. On October 30 every year, on the day of commemoration of the victims of communism, the stylobate of the monument is in flowers. Unfortunately, this is the only place in the park where there is NO evening lighting and even lighting! Such is the memory! The preserved name of the garden-square does not allow to forget the past! In my distant childhood, there was a summer ice cream parlor in the park. My sister and I, parents often "spoiled" him with a visit. Ice cream "balls" were served in metal bowls "shot glasses". It was amazingly delicious!
