Outwardly, the same biology department of KSU, only got a little stout and is now focused mainly on medicine. But the systemic changes are serious. Now, this is a completely different university and functions on the Western model. For example, the departments that were engaged in the development of fundamental biological disciplines were united. Interindustry convergence is evident. I think that the old school has been destroyed, and the new one has nothing to do with the history of Russian science.
