In the building of the bourgeois council, built in 1904 according to the project of engineer P. D. Afanasyev, in May 1905, meetings of the first city council in Russia were held, which was created during the general political strike of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk workers. Before going to the museum, check if it works, unfortunately we arrived and was closed without giving any reason.

It was one of the best museums not so long ago. They defeated. They removed all the information, not a word about the history of parliamentarism in Russia. They made an imitation of old communal apartments. A shame!

I liked the story of those people who not only participated, but also headed the revolutionary movement of 1905 in the city of Ivanovo-Voznesensk. They sacrificed their lives so that the future generation would live better. I wanted such people to be “present” at the present time, who gave all their natural managerial and technical skills to the benefit of the people.

We visited with my son a weekend excursion "Through the Waves of Our Memory". The exposition is divided into several rooms. In each of the rooms household items of different eras are presented - it starts from the 20-30s, ending with 70-80 years of the 20th century. It was very interesting to both me and my son. The material is easy, accessible and very interesting. I recommend to visit the whole family, take grandparents, they will also be interested there, they will remember childhood and youth. I can’t upload photos, I won’t spoil them, it’s more interesting to see with my own eyes. The tour lasts 1.5 hours, but takes place in one breath, they did not even believe it when they looked at the clock.
