PJSC LUKOIL is a Russian oil company. The official name is PJSC LUKOIL Oil Company. The name of the company comes from the first letters of the names of the cities of oil workers (Langepas, Urai, Kogalym) and the word oil (from the English oil - oil). The Lukoil trademark is one of two Russian brands (along with Baltika) that were included in the list of the 100 largest world brands, compiled in April 2007 by the British newspaper Financial Times. However, according to the results of a similar rating drawn up in April 2009, Lukoil was no longer in the top 100 brands. The headquarters of Lukoil is located in Moscow, on Sretensky Boulevard. The company also has a North American headquarters located in East Madow, a suburb of New York.
