Church of St. Nicholas Pensky is a small pillarless one-domed church in the former Tolchkovskaya settlement of Yaroslavl. It is located on the right bank of the Kotorosli River. It was built by parishioners in the 17th century as a warm temple of the Fedorovsky parish. In 1890, the chapel of St. Sergius of Radonezh was built from the north-eastern side. Later, the Nikolsky chapel was built on it with a separate entrance from the courtyard. In the Soviet period, it functioned as the cathedral of the ancient Rostov-Yaroslavl diocese. One of the seven pre-Petrine churches of the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker preserved in the city and the only one in the old part of the city that did not close during the years of Soviet power.

Temple of the second half of the 17th century. He continued to operate even in Soviet times, performing the functions of the cathedral of the Rostov-Yaroslavl diocese. In a very good condition.
