Beautiful church

A beautiful chapel in the very center of the city near the fountains, a place loved by both residents and guests of the city. The chapel is a branch of the Tolgsky monastery, you can buy monastery tea inside. Next to the chapel is the building of the Regional Government and a pedestrian street with a bunch of bars and restaurants, there is a photo shop # Я💙Yaroslavl, where everyone takes pictures.

The chapel of Alexander Nevsky was built in 1892. architect Pozdeev N.I. A hipped temple, with one apse (the apse is crowned with a decorative head). A tented porch adjoins the western facade. It features rich decor, perfect brickwork. The architecture of the chapel is made in the Russian style and resembles a low tented bell tower (octagon on a quadruple), richly decorated with brick decor, typical of Russian architecture of the late XVII century (town ledges, kokoshniks, flyers with tiled inserts). The tent is covered with gray ceramic tiles imitating an ancient share. In the XX century, the porch was dismantled, in 1982-1984, the disassembled porch was restored to its former forms.
