Quiet, smooth surface, God's grace!

The church was built in 1714 and is the oldest church on Samara Luka. There is a legend that it was built by Count Menshikov for the miraculous salvation of Nikolai the Wonderworker during a storm on the Volga. Inside, frescoes on plaster have been preserved, but the decorative decoration of stone has been completely lost.

Church of John the Baptist Both daughters were baptized in this church. Wonderful quiet place. Calming environment. Without pompous pomp, it smells of wood and incense.
