Tserkov' Tikhona Zadonskogo

Pyatnitskaya tower with a water gate was blown up by the retreating troops of Napoleon. In 1816 the church of Tikhon Zadonsky was erected in its place and was used as a prison church. The building of the former prison (now a residential building) was rebuilt in 1880 and given to the needs of the almshouse under which the church operated until the onset of Soviet times. The church was closed, rebuilt and used to keep homeless children and juvenile delinquents. Now there is a tavern called "Dungeon"
