Epiphany Cathedral

The Gate Epiphany Church was originally built in 1708 - 1712 on a high stone foundation with a vaulted passage to the bishop's court. In 1781 the wooden cathedral was dismantled and by 1787 a brick one was erected on this site. Together with the bell tower and the Assumption Cathedral, it forms a wonderful baroque temple complex. The temple has no parish. Used for bishop service in the cold season. It stores icons of the 15th century and more ancient holy relics.

The son was baptized, before that his nephew was baptized. Ace is good.

Before the revolution, it was a winter temple. Since the Assumption Cathedral was a summer temple. Heating in the Assumption Cathedral appeared only in the late 19th century. The parish of the Epiphany Cathedral was very rich. All this was lost during the troubled times after 1917. Now the rich painting is preserved only in the apse of the altar.

Winter church. Rarely open to visitors and tourists. It is decorated and richly decorated, but this is not to be seen just like that. It was built in the same way as the Assumption Cathedral in the 18th century. The same style is baroque.
