Kazan church

An old temple, somehow cozy. A very pleasant place.

I love this temple very much. I am here at home. The service in the temple has not stopped since 1756

The present stone church was built in 1778 and consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Then a fence was erected with a turret, in which there was a gatehouse. In 1856, by the works of the dean and rector of the church, Father John Terentyevich Bildinsky, chapels were added to the church: in the name of the martyr John Warrior, in honor of the Miraculous Image and in the refectory - in the name of St. Nicholas and Alexy, Metropolitan of Moscow; as well as the bell tower and the porch. The central iconostasis has been preserved since the 18th century, the iconostases of the chapels - of the second half of the 19th century. After the revolution, the rector of the church, the priest Alexander Serborin, was persecuted. For some time the temple stood without worship, they began after the war. In 1984-1985 made wall paintings.
