In the center of the village of Konstantinov, not far from the Yesenin’s house, on the banks of the Oka River stands the church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The first mention of this temple dates back to 1619. In 1779, at the expense of Prince Alexander Mikhailovich Golitsyn, the owner of the village of Konstantinov, was erected by the architect I.E. Starova Kazan stone temple with an aisle of the martyrs Faith, Hope, Love and their mother Sophia. Subsequently, all Konstantinovsky landowners monitored the condition of the church. During the life of Sergei Yesenin, the priest was the priest John Smirnov, who was forced to leave his ministry in the 1920s. In 1937, the temple was turned into a grain warehouse; collective-farm agricultural machinery was located on its territory. In the 70s of the 20th century, the building was transferred to the museum as an architectural monument of the last quarter of the 18th century. The temple has long served as an exhibition hall.

A very nice, light temple with interesting icons, after visiting the soul it becomes easier, brighter.

It was closed, and outside, like all churches, there was nothing unusual in architecture.
