The Assumption Church, "what used to be the Three Saints", is located near the Cathedral Church. It was built in 1775 and, despite the small parish, has always been "magnificent and beautifully decorated." Its inner splendor was noted by all the Bishops who visited the city of Kasimov. Like many Orthodox churches, this church has been rebuilt and renovated more than once. It is believed that the ancient Assumption Church was built at the end of the 17th century. Previously, in winter, a warm church stood in the name of the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the aisle of the holy martyrs Flora and Laurus for ministry in winter. She, like the Assumption Church, was wooden. After several fires and rebuildings (in 1739 and 1753), permission was given to build one stone, now existing Assumption Church with the side chapels of Nikolsky and Trekhsvyatsky. Permission was sought by the Kasimov merchant Maxim Alexandrovich Milovanov with parishioners who used a lot of their funds to build this temple. In 1775, the construction of the Assumption Church was completed and a blessing was given for its consecration. In 1789, the refectory and the bell tower were completed. The extension of the refectory with the construction of the aisles of Bogolyubsky and Vozdvizhensky dates back to a later period. After a storm in the summer of 1810 and destroying the roof of the temple, repairs were underway in the Assumption Church. In 1826, a new bell was strengthened instead of broken ones. In 1830 - 1833 The Assumption Church was inside decorated with wall painting, at the expense of the rich widow of Tatyana Sergina. This was done according to the order of His Grace Filaret (Amfiteatrov), who visited the city of Kasimov. During the 19th century, the temple was decorated with the funds of parishioners.
