in May 1989, hitchhiking returning with a girlfriend from the Pechora Pskovskys, spent the night in this place. There was a destroyed church and a small house that still stands. The village was called Nikolaevo. We could not put up a tent in the dark, so we climbed into a skidder standing next to it, and spent the night in it. In the morning the owner came out of the house - friendly and intelligent, invited us to pancakes. It turned out that he and his wife and children moved here from Leningrad, where he lived in a communal apartment. Wonderful, Orthodox family! I hope they are doing well.

A remake created on the site of the forever destroyed monastery in the style of Pskov churches. I can’t imagine how he could lure a passing tourist. Maybe only worshipers.
