Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God "with Paromenya"

The Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God from Paromenya is located at the bridge over the Velikaya River, on the central highway of Zavelichye - Rizhsky Prospect. Opposite is the Pskov Krom, nearby - a chapel in honor of Princess Olga, a small private hotel. A temple of typical Pskov architecture with a free-standing five-span bell tower. The river embankment is not equipped.

The Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God "from the Parmenia" appeared in Pskov in the middle of the 15th century. And it was built in the place where the Pskovites ferried from one side of the Great River to the other. And in 1521, during the restructuring, the church got its current look, which has not changed for 500 years without a year. The temple was apparently saved from destruction by the fact that in 1960 it was recognized as a monument of republican significance.

The church and the belfry are well located historical sites. Good photos are obtained from the bridge - it opens a panorama of both the church and the belfry. Nearby parking, observation deck, Holguin Cross and the bridge leading to the Pskov region.

A good church is small, modest, without pathos. Ancient and simple.
