Not a single word in English for international travellers like me. Google Camera translator helped with some cards though. Not anyone could help with English either but i was happy they tried. The room in which school students performed a puppet show was heart warming and families clapping and videoing too. The house proved more interesting in its decoration than the things exhibited. But for the uninitiated like me, many parts proven curiously similar to other Asian cultures than European. Still much was unique and beautiful pieces of art. This is NOT the Louvre of Penza, but if you wish to know what people's might be seeing in their grandparents houses or what the old people talk about as wonders of the past, this is a good place to start.

Interested to see how people used to live.

Very nice museum and area outside but I did not get in because the person was charging "extra" for the tickets and when inquired about that, she started to be rude

A wonderful museum. A selection of exhibits was made with love for the native land. We attended a master class on making an Abashev toy. It was led by Vyacheslav Alekseevich and Olga Vyacheslavovna, wonderful friendly people for whom creativity is their whole life!
