Отличное место. Жаль не жалуют его наши слуги народа своим чутким и трогательным вниманием. Действительно, есть там чувство ностальгии по ушедшей и видимо уже утерянной страничке истории. Зимой конечно не очень, но тоже положительных эмоций хватает. Минус, который могу отметить, это скудноватый в плане предметов обихода интерьер.

A historical place, Turgenev's estate, currently a state memorial and natural museum-reserve in the Mtsensk district of the Oryol region. Mandatory to visit, tickets for guided tours (during which you will be told and shown everything) are sold in a house opposite the main gate. On the territory itself, there is a huge park, a church, a manor, a stable, ponds, a Turgenev oak, a lake with bridges, a gazebo and many benches.

A place worth visiting. We took an excursion for 1 hour (350 rubles per person). The guide Elena Leonidovna is an excellent narrator. The house has restored interiors with historical furniture. The impression of the exposure is very strong. Nice, tasteful and authentic. The park is beyond praise. Large area with mighty trees. We were there on weekday afternoons. We were alone in the whole park. Awesome. Calm and quiet.

The manor house is completely new, restored in 1976, because burned down at the beginning of the 20th century. But all the furniture is original, taken from the first museum to Turgenev in Orel. The excursion was interesting, not boring. Amazing park. You can ride horses, boats.
