On May 15, 1835, on the banks of the Bersuat River (in Kazakh, the only watering place), the Naslednitskaya Cossack fortification was founded, named after the heir to the throne, later Emperor Alexander II, who visited the Cossack villages in the Urals. Until 1844, a camp church in honor of the Ascension of the Lord was located in the Naslednitsky fortification. In 1844-1847, at the official expense in Naslednitsky, a single-throne church was erected in the name of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky. The church was in a fortress behind a stone fence, was built of brick on a foundation of wild stone. The ancient walls of the fortress and the temple itself have survived to this day. Divine services in the temple began to be performed in the same 1847. In 1934 (1936), the temple was closed by local government decree. Until the 1960s, machine-building workshops were located in the church building. After that, until the beginning of the 1990s, the building remained ownerless. In the early 1990s, the church was handed over to believers; since 1994, divine services have resumed.
