The construction of a stone church on the site of the old wooden church, burned by Lithuanian troops in 1607, dates from 1680 - 1684. Since then, until the beginning of the Soviet period, the church was seriously damaged twice by the fire of 1759 and the storm of 1836. The church was threatened with complete destruction. The situation was saved by the personal intervention of Nicholas I. By his decree in 1854 - 1860 reconstruction work was carried out. Since 1930, the temple was involved as a granary, but despite this, services continued until 1937, when, according to the tradition of that time, the clergy of the city were almost completely shot. After the Second World War, the temple lay in ruins and was demolished in the 60s. But in the 70s the temple was restored and used as a local history museum, as well as for the exhibition of paintings and performances by vocalists of the art school, located opposite. In 1996, the Church of the Holy Trinity was transferred to believers.

A beautiful temple, a historical monument of the great past, when other people inhabited this land.

Very good church. Quiet, calm, cozy. If you ask something, they will always help and prompt you how to do it. The choir sings very beautifully.
