An amazing place - a church in the wilderness of the Valdai forests, and even a copy of the church in Antarctica! From the entrance - a magnificent view of the lake.

A quiet and secluded place, although it is only ten kilometers from the noisy M10 highway Moscow - St. Petersburg, not far from Valdai. Orthodox pension, the first time I meet this name is interesting and intriguing. Open people who work here. Super nice. Quiet, well-maintained territory .. Calm pacifies. So quietly that the hares and squirrels run into this silence from the surrounding forest and jump along the paths. The highlight of the boarding house is the church of Sergius of Radonezh, which stands on a high steep bank above the lake in a pine-fir forest. From the shore of the lake, a beautiful wooden and powerful staircase leads upwards, which is also called a staircase to the sky .. This name fits 100%. the water in the lake is crystal clear .. Visible sand and flocks of perch, kororve frolic in the depths. The church is wooden, very beautiful .. Seeing her for the first time is experiencing a colloquial delight and understanding of the masterpiece of Orthodox architecture .. A miracle place.
