Trinity Cathedral

Holy Trinity Cathedral - the main temple of the town, is the hallmark of the city. Located in the historic center of the city. It is painted in a pale pink color and stands on a dais, visible from afar. The domes were consecrated by Archbishop Leo. At the beginning of the 21st century, the main clock of the city was installed, the cathedral is open for free visits, I recommend it.

Outwardly not particularly remarkable, but inside there is a limit with old and very interesting icons and a small showcase with old books.

A wonderful attraction of the ancient quiet provincial town. The construction of the cathedral is attributed to the middle of the 17th century on the site of an older wooden one, but the exact date of construction has not been established since the temple, however, like the whole city, has repeatedly suffered from fires. The main part of the cathedral has not been reconstructed since 1881. With the advent of the Soviet era, the cathedral, of course, was closed. In the years of the Great Patriotic War, a hospital operated here, and after that the building of the cathedral was used as a House of Culture.
