Peshchera Yumaguzinskaya Kuvandyk

Yumaguzinskaya cave The nature of the Kuvandyk region is very diverse. Half an hour from Kuvandyk there is a small ridge with a length of about 800 meters. It is crowned with four peaks. The eastern, the highest, is called "Beloshapka". These mountains are easily distinguished from the rest of the area by their whitish color. The peaks are composed of light gray Middle Devonian reef limestones. The southern slope of the mountain is steep and in the middle part forms a ledge, in which there is a narrow entrance to the Yumaguzinsky cave. The length of the cave is about 50 meters. Inside, it forks, but the narrow passages are mostly dead ends. However, the "big hall", located at the very end of one of them, can freely accommodate an average group of tourists. Note that getting to the mountain itself by car is problematic. Therefore, those who want to visit the cave leave cars near the road, and the remaining path (about a kilometer) is walked. It runs along a beautiful hilly area, along birch and oak groves and a stream.
