Great view from above, but it's a little bit expensive, the ticket also allows you to walk in the wall.

The belfry of St. Sophia Cathedral is a cultural heritage site. The first mention in 1437 (collapse into the Volkhov River due to flooding). There is a legend that when Ivan the Terrible was crossing the bridge across the river, the bell ringer beat the bells so hard that he frightened the royal horse, which reared up and threw the king. For this, they cut off all the ears of the bell, leaving only the middle one. It suffered greatly during the Great Patriotic War. During the evacuation of the bells during the bombing, the barge with the three largest bells was smashed by a direct hit. The bells went to the bottom of the river. It was restored in 2007-2009. We visited the belfry at the end of June 2020, no excursions were conducted. A visit to the belfry, ascent to the observation deck and a walk along the Battle Passage of the Kremlin - a ticket of 300 rubles. The ticket office also gives out a booklet with a map of the Kremlin and the Court. A beautiful view of the Volkhov River, the inner part of the Kremlin and Yaroslav's courtyard opens up.

It successfully forms the look of the Novgorod Kremlin both from the inside and from the outside. It is interesting to visit the current exhibition and climb the wall.

You can climb to the top, not a bad view of the river.
