Now the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos is, apparently, on the territory of the village of Trubichino, in general, the church in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos was built in the village of Vitka on the river of the same name in 1670 by the diligence of the nobleman Savva Borovitin. It was a wooden church with a bell tower, warm on a stone foundation. Until 1863, the church was attributed to the St. John the Theologian Church (probably this is the stone church of St. John the Theologian in the village of Bogoslov built in 1799) and Vodskaya Resurrection churches (this is some kind of wooden church built in 1829 in the village of Vodsko). In 1875, a new stone Church of the Intercession was built on the site of the wooden church. With the permission of Emperor Alexander II, the construction material was used to demolish old buildings (buildings of military settlements and a traveling palace). In general, the church was built from all the construction rubbish left after the dismantling of the old dilapidated buildings. Apparently, there were problems with building materials in the Russian Empire, so they were used repeatedly, and the old buildings were not destroyed and demolished, but dismantled. At the beginning of the 20th century, the church had a new three-tiered iconostasis, as well as a carved image of Nil Stolobensky. This is such a saint who lived in the 16th century. The image was considered a temple icon attributed to the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos of the wooden church of St. Nil Stolobensky, built in 1670 and restored in 1909 on the old basis in compliance with the previous architectural forms. The Church of the Intercession was called Vitskaya and its one more name is Podelskaya. at the beginning of the 20th century, the parish of the Intercession Church consisted of the village of Vitka (Podele), the villages of Motorovo, Trubichino, Stipenka. Two schools were organized at the church - in the village of Vitke and in the village of Trubichino. The church housed a library with 226 books. The Church of the Intercession was closed by a resolution of the Leningrad Oblast Executive Committee on July 19, 1937. In the 1930s, the church of St. Nila Stolobensky was completely dismantled. Fragments of the church foundation have been preserved at the Vitkovsky cemetery. During the Soviet period, the church building was used for various household needs. In particular, there was a building materials warehouse. In 1998, the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos on Vitka was returned to the Novgorod diocese and since that time it has been a functioning church. But it is not always open to the public, but only on certain days, about one or two days a week. Outwardly, the church looks pretty decent, only a few dozen meters away there is a hefty power line support, which seems to hang over the church and greatly spoils the view. The church is a one-domed, one-apse, probably four-pillar (I can't say for sure) temple, presumably in the forms of the New Russian style with a small dome, keeled window ends, keeled kokoshniks over the cornices of all four facades, and round niches on the facades. The north and south facades are divided into three parts by blades. On the west side, a narthex and then a hipped bell tower adjoin the main building of the church. In the bell tower, the upper octahedral tier with bells stands on a tetrahedron resting on a wide rectangular lower tier. The western facade of the lower tier of the bell tower is decorated with four pilasters. The church has an interesting apse. It is of some gigantic size and pentahedral. The roof of the church is hipped. The main premises of the church, the narthex, the lower tier, the bell tower and the apse are decorated with a belt of square niches. We were not inside the church, as it was closed. There is an old cemetery near the church, which is heavily abandoned and overgrown with grass and bushes. Many graves have been lost, monuments have been removed. Somewhere in the corner of the cemetery there is a small memorial to those killed in World War II - a more or less well-groomed burial ground. Immediately opposite the apse of the church, five monuments, as I understand it, are set in a row from some lost graves. Apparently, these are the surviving monuments from the graves of the priests of the church (church parable).
