Beautiful church with a tower that stands out of the other churches.

Ten minutes from the Kremlin, but away from the noisy streets, stands the old Trinity Church. One can clearly distinguish the old part of the church and the later addition of the 19th century - the bell tower. They differ in architecture and even in color. I didn't get into the church itself, it was closed, as I understand it, it is active and you can get inside during the service. Opposite is the Troitsk excavation site, an interesting place, but most of which is surrounded by a high green fence.

This is the Church of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity on Redyatina Street. More options: on Probitnaya street, on Novinka, in the Yamskaya Sloboda, and the street was also called Troitskaya (and now it is called that). Initially, in this place in 1165 the wooden church "Trinity bristles" or "bristles" was built. This was probably the name of the inhabitants of Shchitnaya Street, although this street was on the Trade side and in its northern part. The stone church was founded in 1365 (built in 1366). The customers of its construction were Ugra residents. These are the inhabitants of Novgorod, who, let’s say, did business in Ugra (Northern Urals). The existing structure of the church has been rebuilt several times, and only the foundation and the lower part of the building, one and a half meters high, have remained from the original structure. It is believed that this initial building, on the one hand, was similar to typical Novgorod cubic churches. It was cubic, four-pillar, one-headed, with choirs and two corner chambers on them, with an internal staircase and with a three-bladed completion. But on the other hand, it had significant differences. There were two lateral rectangular apses (there were three total apses and they adjoined three different facades) and there were no blades on the facades, the walls were inclined to the vertical axis. According to the Seven-assembly painting in the 15th century, the Trinity Church was attributed to the nearby church of Blasius. The church burned during fires in 1526 and 1554. According to some reports, the church was burned during the Swedish occupation of 1611-1617 and was restored again only in 1623, but according to the inventory of 1617 it does not appear to be ruined. In 1708, the church was renewed, apparently after renovation. In 1734 the church was almost completely dismantled and a new building was built on the old basis in the style of the traditions of pre-Petrine architecture. The temple repeats the ancient in many ways: cubic, single-headed, single-apical. But at the same time, the apse is a low, octagonal drum with shovels at the corners and a tiled decor. There was a three-part division of the facades with blades and an eight-slope roof, as well as an icon case on the northern facade (the painting has now been erased from time to time). In 1789, a wooden refectory and a wooden belfry were transported to the church, transported from the Tithes Monastery, which burned down in 1829. In 1832, a stone structure was built, which is called either the refectory, or the porch, as well as the bell tower. The scatter in the purpose is not entirely clear: either the dining room, or the hallway. In the refectory in 1832, the side chapel of the Evangelist Luke was consecrated. Then the church was rebuilt, the roof became four-sloped, the decor was partially destroyed. In 1838, the church was in danger of fire, but either did not suffer or suffered slightly. During the war, the church suffered little, mainly in the upper part. In 1975-1978, it was restored, while the church itself returned its appearance to the 18th century, and the refectory with a bell tower looked to the 19th century. For me together these two parts do not look very harmonious. The combination of buildings of different eras in one. Now the Trinity Church is operational, but judging by the information on it, services take place twice a month, and the rest of the time the church is closed and cannot be inside. So how she looks inside is unknown. In general, until recently, there was some kind of restoration workshop.

The current temple in 2019, services are on Saturdays, the exact schedule of worship in the VC group. Temple of the Trinity, XIV - XIX centuries. Built in 1365 by order of "Yugortsev", Novgorod merchants who traded with Ugra (Ural). The main volume was rebuilt in 1734, the chapel and the bell tower in 1832. During the Second World War, it was damaged and restored in 1975-1978. In 2018, services in the temple were resumed.

The church is located far from traditional hiking trails, but there are enough people who want to look at it. It was built on the site of the Yamskaya settlement by the organization of ushkuyniks, peculiar explorers of Siberia, who did not disdain, however, and robbery. The tradition of building a temple and atone for sins will continue the bandits of the new Russia who survived in the 90s. The church is beautiful, although it received multiple lightning strikes, from which it burned to the ground and was restored from scratch.
