Luga Museum of Local History

An employee of the museum said that she would very much like to have a real museum of military glory in the city of military glory, because in the city of Luga during the Second World War there were fierce battles to contain the onslaught of the Nazis on Leningrad and the heroic feat of Soviet soldiers, the Luga defensive line by three weeks stopped the German offensive on Leningrad, which allowed the Soviet troops to create stronger defenses on the distant and near approaches to the city. But, unfortunately, there is practically no exposition dedicated to this event and a guide was offered.

The staff doesn't like their job

Entrance to the museum costs 50 rubles. In the museum you can see the history of the Luga region and the defensive line of the city of Luga from the Nazi invaders.

This is a very loud name for what is presented.

A small cozy museum. There is a hall dedicated to the nature of the area, including geology and paleontology, an archaeological exhibition, exhibits related to the pre-revolutionary history of Luga and the events of the Second World War (the latter most). The museum hosts exhibitions of local artists, various events, master classes.
