I really likes this place. If you like art you have to go there.

Do you want to plunge into the wealth and luxury of a merchant's house of the early 20th century? Then be sure to visit the art museum. The first floor was formerly the trading rooms of the merchant's house. And now there is a large exposition (mainly pencil, charcoal, paper) dedicated to the Narts epic. On the second floor there is everything to roam the imagination of a common man in the street and imagine yourself in the chambers of the merchant Oganov's house. Huge mirror. Frescoes. Stucco molding with the faces of outlandish animals and Greco-Roman goddesses. Painted ceilings with baroque themes. Bronze bats. Gilding. Parquets. Antique batteries. Winter garden with a fountain. On the windows there are old heats. Stained glass windows. Roman she-wolf. In general, a sort of eclecticism, apparently characteristic of all rich people. But I really want to live in this eclectic luxury, even for one day. They were ashamed to ask to get into the director's office, but according to witnesses - there is something to see! I recommend to visit.

A very cool museum. It is located in a pre-revolutionary merchant's mansion on Prospekt Mira - you should look at it because of the building and interiors. The museum has a serious and interesting collection, although only a small part of it is exhibited due to lack of space, and employees complain about the lack of funding. On the second floor, paintings by various "big" artists, such as Levitan or Korovin, are exhibited. But the most interesting thing is the art of local artists, including contemporary ones. At the time of the visit (August 2020) there was a very strong exhibition of works by Ossetian artists and sculptors dedicated to the Nart epic. In short, I recommend visiting - and be sure to take an excursion, it costs symbolic money. We listened to a tour from one of the employees - Fatima - and it was very cool! Many thanks to the staff!

An architectural monument of national importance. Built in 1903 Architect Ryabikin. Located in the center of Vladikavkaz. Once upon a time there were shopping arcades on the 1st floor, and a merchant lived on the 2nd floor. The building on the 1st floor houses an exhibition of paintings illustrating the 'Nart epic' - the author of the works is Makharbek Tuganov.

Rich composition, Serov, Vrubel, Korovin, etc. If you are lucky enough to get to the euscript guide Fatima, you will learn a lot of interesting things, including in the historical aspect of the Ossetian culture, and in general, myths and legends of the Caucasus. Staff attitude 10/10. It can be seen that people love their work. The very building of the museum with a rich history will kick you in if you have the slightest interest in architecture. Suddenly everything was perfect.
