"Tkhaba-Yerdy"

The oldest Christian temple (about 8th century). Built on the Silk Road. Within the walls of the temple there are voids, in which, according to legend, the monks hid during the attacks. The temple has been plundered many times and has suffered greatly over the centuries. But still it amazes with its grandeur and preserved bas-reliefs on the facade. The temple was closed. Therefore, unfortunately, they did not get inside. A must to visit.
