Solemn Soviet war memorial. Thought provoking.

Memorial to Soviet solders, who lost their lives defending Motherland. Must see place. During Great Patriotic War against Nazi's Germany it was called Valley of Death. In 1941 soviet troops repelled german attack. Key date was September 8 1941, when nazis droped all their forces to destroy soviet defence, but without success. According to the official data more than 2000 people died during confrontation.

A sad place. I consider it a must-see for those who come to Murmansk. Our history, our memory. Very beautiful northern landscape on the way to the Valley of Glory. Nature is mesmerizing.
