The submarine K-21 during the Great Patriotic War in 17 military campaigns won 17 victories. On July 5, 1942, the fascist battleship Tirpitz torpedoed. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 23, 1942, the K-21 submarine was awarded the Order of the Red Banner for exemplary fulfillment of command assignments, courage and heroism. The memorial complex “Submarine K-21” was opened on July 31, 1983.
