Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in Bratsevo

An ancient white-stone and thick-walled temple on the edge of today's Moscow. It is also worthy of attention as an architectural monument - a memorial plate about the construction of the temple in 1672 by the tsar steward Bogdan Khitrovo, touching tiled heads of cherubs on the tonkiz necks of domes, the grave of the war hero of 1812 Vasily Ladomirsky with his attendants in front of the altar - and as the center of life of a large and friendly, a parish living with inspiration by faith and enlightenment. A secluded and bright place, separated from the noise of Moscow by a series of unfinished cottages on one side and a fishing line on the other. A wonderful church shop, friendly employees and a strange custom to treat all those who come to God with something and cookies with konyets after the service. A wonderful and very picturesque place with a glorious past and a bright, loving present.
