Khram Nikoly Chudotvortsa U Tverskoy Zastavy

Church of Saint Nicholas the Wonder-worker at the Tver Pike was built in beginning of XX century and belongs to Confraternity of Old Believers. Admission is free but any donation is welcomed and highly appreciated. Very lovely church surrounded by modern buildings constructed out of glass and concrete.

In my youth from the big gates of the church i had been able to see the heads of statues where made their - Lenin’s, Marks and other soviet symbols were predestined there with gypsum . My old Moscow emotion and remembrance.

Beautiful temple

Great fellows, that during the construction work and redevelopment of the quarter, they not only preserved the temple, but also restored it soundly enough. To be honest, next to a high-rise office new building, in my opinion, it is quite organic to look at it

Just awesome place. An incredible combination of architectural styles from different eras. Architects managed to "fit" modern business centers into the history of the Tver Outpost and the Old Believer church. Moreover, in the area itself this is not the only interesting architectural solution. The place is a must for visiting guests of the capital. And the methods used should be used by architects and designers throughout Russia to show them how to combine completely different directions without disfiguring the city.
