A wonderful little temple almost in the center of Moscow! Nice priest and nice parishioners. There are many beautiful and rare icons in the church, a reliquary with the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. We went to services a couple of times, as we were there on business. It left a very good impression. The very territory of the temple is interesting, ancient, it seems that once upon a time has already been there. It is worth mentioning the School of Arts on the territory of the temple - this is, apparently, a unique educational institution, where not only school subjects are combined, but also classes in various types of arts, the Law of God and the comprehensive development of children, with trips on excursions and many other interesting for children activities. And all this under the spiritual guidance of the head of the temple.

This is a temple at the former Cherkasy poorhouse. In 1853, the widow of the hero of the war of 1812, Nikolai Cherkassky, Nadezhda, acquired a country cottage from the imperial architect Osip Beauvais. In 1956, a temple and a poorhouse were built on her money. The church worked before the revolution and was closed in 1923. The premises were given to the House of Mother and Child. Krupskaya. Then there was the Lesgaft laboratory. Since 1950, the district children's polyclinic has been located in the buildings of the church and the almshouse, the emergency department of the Children's Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 12 of the UZA health care facility of Moscow.
