I have never been inside, but outside the temple is very beautiful, very ennobles the area. It is interesting that the modern building of the temple was erected in 1701-1716, during the construction of St. Petersburg, when building materials from all over Russia were brought to the Northern Capital. So bricks for the temple were collected literally all over Moscow. However, they built it conscientiously. It has been standing for over 300 years and is now in very good condition.

The temple is old. Interesting baroque iconostasis. There are antique candlesticks. Many old icons. The choir sings appropriately.

A unique church, analogues of which no longer exist. Her consecration is one of a kind (in the Kremlin there is also the Church of the Robe of the Virgin, but there we are talking about the Robe of the Virgin, and here about the Robe of Christ). In addition, the old decoration was ideally preserved here, since the church did not close during the Soviet years. In place are all the ancient icons (including the revered image of the Mother of God of Ilyinsko-Chernigov, as well as the image of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker), preserved banners, utensils, native iconostases, murals and even stucco painted figures of angels - an uncommon phenomenon in an Orthodox church!

The temple in honor of the position of the honest robe of the Lord on Donskaya street. There is not one temple in honor of the position of the robe of Our Lady, but this one, in honor of the position of the Lord's robe. The clothes in which He was led to execution. And this shrine appeared in Moscow under Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich and Patriarch Filaret. In 1625, the Persian Shah Abas handed it over to our church. At the place where the shrine was met and its transfer took place, first a wooden temple was built, and in the beginning of the 18th century the existing church was built. In the style of Moscow baroque. In honor of the transfer of the Lord’s robe, a memorial obelisk was also built, which is also preserved. And this beautiful temple did not close in Soviet times.
