Wonderful grounds but disgusting church rules. The Old Believers appropriated their cultural heritage in the form of murals in the temple. No one is allowed into the temple except their own, they are strictly reprimanded for the slightest violation of their dress code. Demand to remove masks and gloves during the coronavirus pandemic. Raise their voice and hame. In the capital of a secular state ...

Beautiful place, a bit old in the center of Moscow. You can walk, there is a pond and not a large fenced area.

If you have not been to the Rogozhsky Village, then you have not been to Russia!

The stronghold of Moscow, and perhaps the Russian Old Believers. At least his priest's part. Everyone is allowed on the territory, but only the Old Believers can get into the temple. Every year on the feast of the women of the Myrrh-bearers in the territory of the fair, where you can get acquainted with the old believers.

For me this place is the same historical park as the estate of Kuskovo, Izmailovo, Kolomenskoye, Tsaritsyno and in general any other and not necessarily that it is in Moscow. In Rogozhskom a very beautiful well-groomed territory, beautiful architecture of churches and bell towers, there are ponds with clear water. On the territory you can take pictures and shoot. It's better to walk here on fine days, as in other things and in any other park, and none of the representatives of this community of Old Believers and non-Jews expel them and does not make comments, at least I have not come across such a situation. Even went several times to the main temple of the community and took a leaflet about the rules of behavior in the Old Believer temples - sometimes they lay on the table at the entrance and also quietly went out into the street - I did not make any comments. Yes, some of the inhabitants of the community look at other people, but not to the point of rushing with fists, rude and chasing. This is not lese and not decent for Orthodox believers. So sectarians, boors and other negative reviews that are written here do not correspond to reality.
