Church of the Resurrection at Sokolniki

Interesting place to visit. But I belive it has sence to visit the place only for religious people. What I like the most is the Icon of the God's Mother The Cure (I hope I interpreted it right, in Russian language it's written like Икона Божией Матери Целительница".

On the way to Sokolniki Park, we passed by this lovely church, painted in gorgeous turquoise blue colours. If the sky wasn’t going to be blue, at least the church could show us some colour! The church of the Resurrection of Christ in Sokolniki (1909-1913) built by the architect P.Tolstyh is located in the vicinity of the metro station Sokolniki and the park of the same name. It was not closed even in Soviet time hence a lot of precious icons were preserved in it, some of them taken from other churches. Beautiful!
