Museum of the Roerichs (Branch of The State Museum of Oriental Art)

The museum displays works by Roerich the Elder and Roerich the Younger. 😃👍 + hall with exhibits of the East. Roerich's works are impressive. We were on Friday evening, there were almost no people. We fully enjoyed the silence and contemplation. 🙏

Could be a great museum if the room was twice as large for this number of exhibits. When the pictures are hung like wallpaper, sorry, but they are already perceived as wallpaper. The exhibits are simply piled up - it's almost impossible to recognize the belonging. The lighting hits right in the eyes, the glasses glare - a lot of interesting things, but what cannot be seen ( I really hope this is temporary ..

A wonderful museum, magnificent paintings with deep meaning. It is unclear why some of the paintings are located under the ceiling. It is a pity that the museum was kicked out of the city center. They say now the administration of the Pushkin Museum sits in that estate ...

Great collection. The only moment may close earlier than the specified time. I recommend arriving early.

For 1-2 hours and 300 rubles, you will see beautiful paintings, household items and luxury of the East, learn about the life and work of the Roerich family. We went with my spouse and were very pleased. I advise you to first go to the slides with the photobiography of the Roerich family, view them, then the excursion will be more interesting.
