Avoid! Tickets are always bought at the last moment, pick-ups arranged when one arrives on the spot, and in our case he didn't arrange part of the tour for which we paid, so we had to pay twice. It goes without saying that we still have to see our money back. Be aware!

SCAM BEWARE - DO NOT BOOK with Rusrailtravel, also trading under Andrei Bezsudov, All Russia Travel Services / GRTour We were left without tickets at the last minute on the final leg of our journey and have not received any refund. Below is a summary of our dealings with Andrei. We booked our journey on the Transiberian rail from Moscow to Beijing with Andrei back in May 2018, 2 months ahead of the trip in July. Andrei was very helpful and efficient when it came to booking and paying for the trains and was fully in contact via email and text (this soon changed) He offered discounts right away and gave us dates when we needed to confirm booking with him by (as he was sending away bookings by certain dates). We had agreed that I could pay a deposit (half of total sum) at time of booking and then remaining half just before the trip. However he then requested full payment a week after booking to complete my reservation saying he needed the money before the World Cup as there would be delays and that it was up to me to continue with booking or not. Regarding the letter of invitation, I had told him 2 weeks in advance when I needed it by, as I had to travel to embassy in Dublin. After multiple emails and texts on the days coming up to it, and replies with that he was too busy... he finally sent it on the last day. For the 2 month period coming up to first train, we had little to no communication from Andrei. On all communication from Andrei during this time, it was infrequent, short, rude, informal and did not answer the questions. Very different from the communication we received at the start when booking with him. It took our Russian friend ringing him on another number before he replied confirming he would get us the tickets when we arrived in Moscow. Before this he had not contacted us in relation to tickets at all and we were in Russia at this point. In Moscow, we were to meet him at our hostel at 3pm to get the tickets from him. Text at 2:40 saying he would be about an hour. 4pm no sign, text from him to say he is 10 mins away. Rang him and he did not speak to us. 4:30 came, no sign - text saying he was outside! He NEVER showed up! Eventually he emailed on 3 of the 5 tickets with correct dates but different times to what we booked. The transaction dates on the tickets were same day, so looked like they were just purchased right then. The same again happened on the 4th set of tickets.. unsure whether we would actually receive them until the last minute. For the last set of tickets - Ulaanbataar to Beijing - we had paid him €390 for 2 tickets in May. We gave him our address a week in advance in Mongolia, as we had no internet for the week while in Gobi desert. We arrived back to ulaanbaatar expecting our train tickets for the next morning to Beijing. However they never turned up. I had no message from him, I rang and texted and no answer. Checked my emails, and he had emailed that morning saying that his account was blocked and he would refund the money. He had left us stranded, with no notice whatsoever. Days went on, and there was no communication from him - did not respond to texts, emails phone calls! Until last week, I emailed him saying I would write this review, and low and behold there was a response saying that he has stopped company activity at the moment and should have refund soon. This again did not happen! And he is still doing trade with customers.. I know it could have been a lot worse, as other people were left without any tickets and are waiting on refunds larger than mine. So to cut a long story short: Do not book with this company, it is not worth the stress, effort and time spent in trying to obtain the tickets from him. He will leave you short and with no apology. He will leave you without tickets and will give you insufficient notice and no help.

We enjoyed our train trip organized by Rusrailtravel (All-RussiaTravel Service) from Moscow to Beijing with stops at Lake Baikal and Ulaanbaatar last June. The arranged accomodations and tours were good and the airport/station transfers were spotless.The only thing we were less happy with was the price/quality of the Irkutsk city tour during our stopover at Lake Baikal. Overall we can recommend this travel agency and we would not hesitate to book again with Andrei.
