Hotel Eklips

Area - Unfortunately, surroundings are really tragic with very loud traffic from both sides of the hotel. Earplugs are a must for people sensitive to noise. Rooms - averagely clean, however a lot still can be improved (e. g. carpet was still quite dirty. Smell was not very nice either). Personnel - probably the strongest advantage of the hotel. All employees were very polite, helpful and smiling. Room service and equipment - my table was missing a chair, so work was quite difficult. Although I had an AC, the remote was not available. Bed is also not made every day by a maid, so you have to do it yourself. At least the towels and soap/shampoo are changed. Breakfast - very limied and repetitive (buterbrod almost every day, I even dreamed about it). Price/value ratio - actually quite bad. At 90 €/day for "superior room" (but not superior in any way compared to other rooms) you go to range of e. g. Marriott/NH hotels in Istanbul/San Sebastian, being of course a totally different level. I suppose there are many other better alternatives in Moscow for similar price. Btw, even though advertised, it is NOT possible to pay by a credit card. You have to withdraw Rubles at a nearby supermarket. Summary: I´m giving 2 stars for good personnel and walking distance to my business trip destination. I will not visit this hotel again, unless absolutely necessary.

I visited a friend, I was very surprised by the availability of the hostel, from the platform of the Shcherbinka station along the MCD you get directly to the cultural and hostel, which is a rarity today, against the background of most homeless people.
