The Izmailovo Hotel is a construction of four hotels located in the Izmailovo District in Moscow. Its 7,000 to 7,500 beds in 5,000 rooms, made it the largest hotel in the world from 1980, when it surpassed the 3,200 rooms at Rossiya Hotel, also in Moscow, until 1993, when the MGM Grand Las Vegas was expanded to 5009 rooms. It was built for the 1980 Summer Olympics, because Moscow did not have enough hotel rooms. It is generally classified as a three-star hotel (Alfa, Vega and Delta are classified as four-star hotels) and its four buildings, Alfa, Beta, Vega and Gamma-Delta, are managed independently.

This was a super Hotel. Great service, great vibe. Real good value for money and close to the Metro and the Shopping centre. They will see me again!

Booked and paid in advance but cannot go there due to coronavirus situation. Hotel cannot refund at all. Bad responsibility to customers. I will never plan to visit this hotel again.

Off the beaten track, but good place to stay, metro is next door so ideal for tourists
