A very interesting exposition, I would like to say a big thank you to the administration, they keep this story, the history of the great plant that was present at all construction sites and harvesters of the USSR and still cars run along vast roads. Convenient parking, admission is free, the photo is free, the atmosphere is like in a mausoleum - silence and tranquility, nothing prevents you from viewing the exhibition, there is a corner of the plant’s history where you can read books and see photos in faces, as well as magazines with promising and rare car models. With a child, especially if he is a kid - very much so.

Formally, this is not the ZIL Museum, but the MSC-6 AMOZIL Museum (Mechanical Assembly Shop No. 6 Automotive Society of the Individual Limousine Plant). ZIL fell under the pressure of developers, and this is a private office, formed a couple of years ago on the remains of the TsLA - a passenger car workshop, aka mechanical assembly workshop No. 6, where top-class cars were assembled piecemeal to serve the Soviet party elite. The new owners got all the assets, including equipment, machinery, stock of parts and materials, plus - somehow - several exhibits from the factory museum. The employees of MSC-6 are great fellows, they not only continue to collect new and restore old cars, but also created a museum. Moreover, the entrance is free. There are unique exhibits: from the snow-white ZIS-101A to the passenger "Blue Bird" ZIL-49065. There is even a stillborn ZIL-4102, a beige specimen known under the nickname "Raika". The only one of the two to have survived to this day. In addition to car rarities, there are bonnet emblems, branded wheel covers, models, engine compartment plates, an assembly drawing made by the American firm Budd, which supplied body stamps for the production of the ZIS-101, and much more. Very good. I would like to wish the owners more advertising, large signage for the museum (you need to look for it specially). The state and Moscow mayor's office should be proud of such a museum and promote it. Museum of Russian Cadillacs :)

The place is glutinous, but the staff is not very friendly.
