The church was built in 1703 by the Imeretian king Archil Vakhtangovich Bagrationi. Visited this temple when they rested in the sanatorium "Red Pakhra". Quiet, peaceful place. The area is well maintained. The church building is in good condition. If possible, the restoration work is carried out.

The place at first glance seems quiet and unsociable. Everything is not in very good condition due to lack of funding. Restoration work stretched for decades ... The territory is modest in size. The Red Estate, which is adjacent to the church, was transferred to private hands, restored, fenced with a high fence, the access to it is closed, excursions ceased. The road - the entrance to the church and the estate is in a bad condition, not only is it going with a steep climb up, so it's also broken by dump trucks, pit on the pit ..

Calm, "warm" temple. Good priests who care for souls, not worldly things.

My wife and I are in the service in this wonderful church. Very clean and bright place. I especially want to mention the choir. An example of what people sing soul.
