Nice place to be

Nice hotel in a historic building located near the entrance to the Lavra. Clean, beautiful, solid. The triple room is spacious and has everything you need, including a kettle and cups and saucers. On the walls there are paintings depicting Sergius of Radonezh, on the table the Law of God, on the nightstand of the prayer book. This creates a certain mood for pilgrims, it does not interfere with ordinary tourists. On the third floor there is a hall with portraits of patriarchs. Breakfasts are served in the "Refectory Chamber". Yummy. Hotel guests get a 10% discount in this restaurant. The same discount is provided for a tour of the Lavra. From the courtyard of the hotel you can also enter the restaurant-museum "Guest hut". The interior is peculiar, the food is delicious, but more expensive than in the "Refectory Chamber". Hotel guests can use the free parking, upon arrival at which the security guard must inform the name of the person who booked the room. The staff at the front desk are very polite and friendly. The atmosphere in the hotel is excellent. In general, everything is fine here. But there is still one drawback, and it is significant: the rooms facing the street are very noisy. It is impossible to sleep with open windows, it is stuffy when closed in summer, and hot in sunny weather. An air conditioner could solve the problem, but, alas, it is not.

Great location, Lavra 2 steps away, friendly staff, clean rooms. You can go to the refectory inside the building, the menu is not bad. Icons are everywhere, on the bedside tables the Law of God, atmospheric.

The hotel's central location has both pros and cons. Of the minuses with regards to the hot summer, there are no air conditioners, on the 3rd floor the room is very hot and stuffy in a room of 26 degrees, if the windows are open at night, the road does not forget about itself, the roar of engines is insane. And the advantages are clean, polite staff, there is parking. If you ask me, I’ll go to this hotel again, definitely not in the summer.
