Vozneseniya Gospodnya

The Orthodox Church of the Ascension of the Lord was built in the Russian-Byzantine style in 1856 on the banks of the Volga. In 1939, like many other churches, the temple was closed. In 1985, the church was returned and a complete restoration began. Revered shrines of this temple: icons of the Blessed Prince Vladimir, the Martyrs Paraskeva, Agrippina and the righteous Pelageya of Rzhevskaya. On the adjacent territory there is a museum "Orthodox shrines of the land of Rzhevskaya" (you can visit by prior arrangement).
