Rzhev Museum of Local Lore

The museum has been operating since 1916, but earlier it was located in the former building of the city council, and later in the building of the Okovetskaya church. It is dedicated to the culture, traditions and life of the people of Rzhev. There are materials from archaeological excavations in the vicinity of Rzhev. In fact, the museum has two exhibitions in two buildings across the street from each other. The first exposition is devoted to the military history of Rzhev, the second - items that relate directly to the history of Rzhev during the Second World War. In the museums there is a diorama dedicated to the Battle of Rzhev, which was opened for the 60th anniversary of the Victory. One ticket for both expositions costs 100 rubles for an adult. There are a couple of "exhibits" on the site in front of the museum.

In general, it gives a complete picture of the history of Rzhev. In every city in which I spend at least a day, I visit the local history. It is clear that half of the exhibition in a separate building is dedicated to the Second World War. The building of the museum itself is also historical.

It was quite entertaining. The toilet is so-so. Teach visitors to flush after themselves and separate the toilet into male and female, please.

The museum itself is wonderful, beautiful exhibits .... But .... WHAT A GRINDING FEELY TROUBLE WATCHER !!!! "Why without a mask?" "Why are you laughing?" "Do not say so loud, you interfere !!!" There was no one except our group in the museum !!! SORROWED ABSOLUTELY ALL IMPRESSION !!!

Very good with a guide. It's hard to assess without it
