Perlovka Guest House

I'd highly recommend this place to any travelers who are looking to save a little money, not demanding 100% privacy, and who don't mind seeing a back alley or two. The staff here is caring and hard-working. They washed my clothes quickly and for free whenever I requested. They cleaned the floors and the bathrooms multiple times per day. As usual in Moscow, there was the occasional run of young tenants with their smelly cheapo sausages and vodka, but the staff were quick to notice if someone tried to smoke indoors or caused too many problems. Also, conveniently, the owners speak English. It's a few blocks from the train station, which you can take into Moscow or out to Sergiev Posad, etc. There's a food court and many shops at the station. Also, if you don't mind passing under the interstate bridge (a little scary at night), you have ready access to Moscow on foot or bike.

Matches up well to the rooms shown on the website. They described it as a basic hotel on the hotel finding site I had booked theough and to me it seemed to deliver well on that expectation. Has a fridge, kettle, microwave. The television was modern enough to accept HDMI. The heater and the hot water both worked. The window opened (but no in room AC.) The free internet was fast sometimes and very slow sometimes. Three and a half small streets away from the electric rail station. Nearest shops are after crossing the pedestrian railway bridge. Shopping mall, theatre, grocery stores are also found on the opposite side. It is within the delivery area for quite a few restaurants that I tried during my two month stay. They rent daily, monthly, and hourly. Hourly guests seemed a bit noisier than average. The rooms are not particularly soundproof. Could also sometimes hear some noise from overhead aircraft.

Wonderful hotel in a quiet location. The rooms are very clean. Very nice staff, helpful.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and not expensive. There is a security deposit of 1000-1500 rubles. returned upon eviction

Everything was arranged for us by the staff, polite rooms, clean linen, changed after each client.
