Tserkov' Rozhdestva Ioanna Predtechi

The Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist in Saransk is located at the crossroads of Botevgrad and Saransk streets (Saranskaya street, 63.). Predtechenskaya - such a name caught on among the people. This temple (built in 1880) remained one of the last in the city after 1935. The parishioners, having defended the St. John the Theological Church, could not save the Predtechenskaya, and it was closed in 1938. The bakery was located in its building for a long time, and in the mid-1990s, it began to be restored. Currently, the current church at the Saransk theological school. Thanks to the attentive, kind and sensitive father, Father Maxim for such important and necessary instructions and prayers! Thank God for everything!

This church is close to my house, so I visit it more often than in others. Everything suits me.
