The temple was built at the beginning of the 19th century on the banks of the Izubrievka River in the village of Ivanovskoye (now the territory of the Tula rural settlement). In 1884, it was repaired at the expense of Prince Meshchersky A.P. In 1897, three stoves were laid in the church with donations from parishioners. In Soviet times, a club, a school and a warehouse were organized in the temple. In the nineties it was empty. Currently, the temple has been restored and is operational. A female monastery was established at the temple.
