The first wooden church of Michael the Archangel was mentioned in 1713. Archbishop Dmitry (Sambikin) in the documents of the mid-1880s noted: “The church in the village of Vorobyevka of the Zadonsk district, wooden with the same bell tower and stone fence, was built in 1862. The land is 33 acres of plow and 1 tithe of the estate. Sub-church house for the priest (wooden). Parishioners 830 souls. It is considered to be attributed to the Vvedenskaya church of the village of Eletskaya Lazovka. " In 1900, the staff of the temple included: the priest Kurbatov Iakov Petrovich and the psalmist Pavel Grigorievich Buchnev. At the beginning of the 20th century, a resident of the village of Antomosha began to collect funds for the construction of a brick church. The bricks were made here from local clay. Old-timers can even now indicate the place where the forges for burning bricks were located. Four brothers from the village of Novy-Dubovoy began to lay the temple. Their names have not survived. But the lattices on the windows of the temple were forged by local blacksmiths, brothers Yakov, Semyon, Ivan and their father Mitrofan Kudaevs - at the Radyukhina compound. The rector of the new Archangel church was Father Nemid Popov, the aforementioned Pavel Buchnev served as a deacon, and Matvey served as the bell ringer. Subsequently, during the years of collectivization, the Kudaev brothers were all dispossessed and declared enemies of the people, the temple remained with an unfinished bell tower. In 1931, the church was closed, the ministers were arrested. In 1996, the first service was held in the Church of the Archangel Michael after a long restoration. Natalya Nikitichna Larina was involved in the restoration of the church, together with the villagers, a resident of Voronezh - mother Ekaterina Timofeevna Emelyanova, administration of the Khlevensky municipal district, Mikhail Nikolaevich Kuznetsov, Alexander Trubnikov - provided great assistance in the restoration of the church.
