A Russian provincial city with all their pluses and minuses. Beautiful temples and monasteries. And the lack of resources for their content. The Zadonsk Monastery, shining with the beauty and luxury of icons, and the beggarly hotels of the city. A huge number of pilgrims - and indifference to them on the part of the "city fathers". 5 stars for the preservation of the Russian spirit and optimism in this city.

Zadonsk, a small beautiful city. It is famous for its monasteries, parks and green streets. Everything is simple and beautiful here.

The best hotel of the city. We lived in a Comfort room for three with a child for 5000 rubles. per day. Large spacious and bright room. The stolen view directly on the temple and the bell tower of the monastery. Refrigerator, kettle and telly with the ability to connect flash drives. Guarded parking for cars. It is located next to the city park, opposite the monastery. Of the minuses: there are no mosquito nets on the windows, the furniture is pocked, the litter bin in the toilet is broken, breakfasts on coupons clearly do not correspond to the cost of the room - very scarce. A few words about the cafe: there is a double impression. Great pancakes, steam cutlets just eat fingers, good pasta. But the fish is unsuccessful - a lot of mayonnaise, tasteless, oily. Good puffs with apple and terrible with dried apricots. Porridge is very sweet. Good first courses. A lot of broken dishes.

A stunning temple complex in the men's monastery. A very prayed place of grace. We stayed in a hotel with the same name "Zadonsk" on the road from St. Petersburg to Sochi, this is the middle of the way, in the morning we visited the monastery
